To he is a traditional folk toy that has become an integral part of the spiritual life of countless generations of Vietnamese people.

Originating from the North of Vietnam, To He is a traditional Vietnamese folk toy and has been part of local culture for centuries. Traditionally made from rice dough and eaten, for Vietnamese people, it carries memories of Tet markets, school gates, and childhood across generations.

Inspired by the traditional Vietnamese toy Tò He, Tò Te was created to help people preserve memories with small, handmade items.

Why We Reimagined
Tò He in Clay

Traditional Tò He is usually made from rice dough, which makes it beautiful but difficult to preserve for a long time. To keep the spirit of Tò He while creating souvenirs that last, Tò Te uses Thai and Japanese clay instead. The result is a handmade gift that carries the warmth of Vietnamese tradition in a more durable form. Because memories deserve to stay with us longer.
